Liverpool are ‘relaxed’ about Jurgen Klopp’s future. Because of course they f***ing are.
Klopp sent the football world into a clickbait frenzy with his recent comments about taking a potential sabbatical.
The German suggested he could take a year out of football when his Liverpool contract expires in 2022.
Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are quite sensibly ‘relaxed’ about the situation, considering it will not even be relevant for another three years.
Sky Sports News reporter Alan Myers revealed how those at Anfield have reacted to the furore.
‘Klopp’s relationship with FSG and the Liverpool hierarchy is good and it is understood that, at this stage, the club are not concerned about something that may or may not happen three years from now,’ he wrote.
‘There is an acceptance that things can change in football and the club are relaxed at the present moment.’
