Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has quashed speculation that they could be preparing a bid for Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Costa has helped the Blues to top spot in the Premier League table with ten goals in 13 appearances so far this campaign.
The Spain international left Atletico Madrid for the Londoners in 2014 but has since been linked with a move back to the Vicente Calderon.
Those reports have died down since his return to form this season and the latest rumour of him heading to Inter Milan has been rejected by Ausilio.
“To talk about this is absurd, we already have a very strong centre-forward,” he told Premium Sport.
“We will try to evaluate the positions we feel need strengthening.”
