Inter Milan new boy claims Arsenal wanted to sign him

Arsenal wanted to sign striker Yann Karamoh before he joined Inter Milan on loan this summer.
Inter sealed a deal to loan Karamoh from Ligue Un side Caen on deadline day, in a move which will become permanent after two years.
The 19-year-old scored five goals in 36 games last season in what was his first campaign of senior football.
He claims that Arsenal were in touch with his agents before Inter swooped to sign him.
“I’ve come to a new team and for me it’s important that they’re betting on me,” Karamoh told Premium Sport. “PSG were waiting to make a move for me, and Arsenal contacted my agents.
“There was also interest from Monaco and Lyon, but I decided to come here.
“Italian football is new for me, there’s much more quality here than in France, you could see that last year in Monaco-Juventus [the Champions League semi-final won 4-1 on aggregate by the Italians].”
