With the U’s having lost both matches, Izzet is poised to come straight back into the starting line-up as boss Aidy Boothroyd looks to reignite their promotion push.
But Boothroyd may have to do without striker Kayode Odejayi, who lasted only four minutes as a substitute at Walsall on Saturday before limping off with an ankle injury.
Defender Paul Reid remains doubtful despite having an injection in his back last week.
Reid has suffered a series of niggles since recovering from a long-term knee problem and is unlikely to be risked.
