Manchester United legend and Wales manager Ryan Giggs is hoping Daniel James will be able to release some of the pressure on Gareth Bale for the national side.

James has made a great start to life at Old Trafford, scoring three goals in four games for United.

Giggs believes James can take some of the burden off the shoulders of Gareth Bale.

“They’re playing and they’re in good form, both are scoring,” Giggs told the Daily Mail.

“I think they’re both looking forward to being involved in the game.

“Dan (James) has got off to a great start at Manchester United but he’s also been great for us, especially with difficult circumstances in the summer.

“The pressure is always on Gareth but I want to bring that pressure off Gareth, we can’t rely on him in every game because we’ve got other talented players in the squad.”

Wales face Azerbaijan in the European qualifiers on Friday, having won just one of their opening three games in the competition.
