Jamie Carragher has goaded both Graeme Souness and David Jones over their latest Premier League XI challenge selections.

After the success of the World XIs, which saw Steven Gerrard ignore Carragher despite being chosen in the former defender’s side, the Sky Sports pundit opted to introduce a new set of parameters.

Fellow pundit Souness and Sky host Jones offered their selections on Tuesday and both were readily dismissed by Carragher.

“My team would beat that team up properly,” Souness told Sky Sports before showing his side.

Holebas Mellberg Van Dijk Harte

Son Fernandinho Hazard

Ronaldo Shearer Henry

“What about that midfield three? You are joking, aren’t you?!” Carragher replied, with Souness admitting that it is asking a lot of Fernandinho.

“I think I’ve got a team that trumps that as well,” said Jones, who brought this monstrosity forward.

Zabaleta Keane Moutinho Bale

“That would get relegated,” said Souness. “I can’t imagine Colin Hendry or John Terry getting dragged out into the wide areas.”

“Richarlison?!” was Carragher’s response. “When you think of the attackers in the Premier League? Richarlison?! Behave, Dave.”

Carragher then turned his focus back to Souness.

“Did you ever think about Ali Dia being in that team?” he asked. Souness offered to “tell you the full story” but Jones spoiled the fun and insisted they had run out of time.

This will have to do for now.
