Jamie Redknapp thinks Man Utd can “do some real damage” in the Premier League especially if they add Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho to their ranks.
Bruno Fernandes shone in a 3-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday night, scoring in either half for Man Utd after Mason Greenwood had set the ball rolling.
United had lost on their previous two Premier League matches at the Amex Stadium but set that right in style against a Brighton side surprisingly out of sorts until it was too late.
And Redknapp was impressed with what we saw from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men as they swept aside the Seagulls in a brilliant performance.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “This [Manchester United] team could do some real damage. They’ve got so much quality and pace. If they add Jadon Sancho as well they will be even better.
“Brighton were poor tonight, really poor. But Manchester United punished them. They started the match so well and never let off.”
Solskjaer, though, wants to see further progression before being satisfied with the current run.
“We’re too far behind to be on the road to something special because special for this club is not where we are,” Solskjaer said. “But the team is improving, we’re in with a shout for the Champions League next year and we still have the FA Cup and Europa League to play.
“The team is improving, the players are coming back and the style is better.”
