Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has stated that while Kylian Mbappe is a Monaco player for now, that may not be the case soon.
The Ligue 1 champions continued their perfect start the the season, winning 6-1 against Marseille on Sunday night to move level on points with Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and the Premier League this summer, but he appears to be on the verge of a move to PSG.
He is expected to join on an initial loan deal with obligation to buy set at an eye-watering £166million.
Jardim confirmed that while the teenager is still a Monaco player for now, that likely won’t last long.
“As of today Kylian is our player, that is why he was on the bench. Maybe that will not be the case tomorrow but for now it still is,” the Monaco boss explained.
“I needed him for the game, but at 4-0 I changed my mind and played other players.”
