Lingard to request Man Utd exit with two Scottish clubs linked
Jesse Lingard will reportedly request a transfer away from Man Utd in January as speculation around his future grows.
The Englishman is determined to get regular first team football as next summer’s European Championships draw closer.
He’s made just two appearances for the Red Devils this campaign and is yet to feature in the Premier League.

He’s fallen behind the likes of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood in the pecking order.
According to TeamTalk, the 27-year-old is becoming impatient with his lack of game time and will aim to manoeuvre a transfer in the January window.
His situation at Old Trafford has led to interest from across Europe. Porto have been linked with the player in the past.
The report goes on to state that Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are both weighing up the potential of bringing Lingard to Scotland.
However, they will have to compete with clubs from the Premier League. Aston Villa, Everton and Tottenham could all still make a move for him.
Lingard’s contract runs out in June, which means interested clubs can begin talks as early as January.
United have the option to extend his contract by 12 months, but it’s not yet known whether they are willing to do so.
Given his lack of appearances so far this campaign, it looks like boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t need him.
The Red Devils are currently in the search for a new winger to bolster their attacking options.
Jadon Sancho has been linked with them for what feels like forever. Leicester’s Harvey Barnes is now being touted as a cheaper alternative.
Lingard looks set for a move away from United in order to make the England squad for the next European Championships.
