‘Jose Mourinho offers Umtiti £150k a week’ – report

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is ‘moving closer to Manchester United’ every day, according to Spanish newspaper SPORT.
The Frenchman is said to have been offered £150,000 a week by Jose Mourinho after Barcelona refused to match his wage demands; he is said to want a promotion into the second tier of earners at the club alongside Luiz Suarez and Andres Iniesta.
According to the report, ‘every day, Umtiti is moving more and more away from Barça’, with United rumoured to be very interested in him as a partner for Eric Bailly.
Umtiti has a buy-out clause of just £52.5m, making him a very attractive prospect for United.
It’s panic stations at Sport on Monday after Mourinho’s personal phone call to Umtiti to offer him £150k/week deal.
