Juventus reportedly made a late offer for Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin, which was rejected immediately.
According to a tweet by Guardian football writer David Hytner, the Italian champions made “a €40m enquiry” for the 22-year-old.
However, the Gunners pulled the plug on any potential deal straight away as they are not willing to lose a defender on deadline day.
There were reports in June that Juve were considering Bellerin as a possible replacement for Dani Alves, who left Turin for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Juventus made a €40m enquiry for Hector Bellerin this afternoon. Dismissed out of hand by Arsenal. Bit of a punt from Juve. Why so late??!!

“It’s a great thing to know about the interest of a club like Barca, the club where I grew up,” said Bellerin when quizzed over Barcelona’s reported interest.
“It’s always been very good in London, my family settled there with me, although now, for family reasons, they have had to return to Barcelona.”
