Harry Kane would get into Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side ahead of Roberto Firmino, according to Danny Murphy.
Rio Ferdinand advised Kane to leave Tottenham earlier in the season with Spurs now 14th in the Premier League after a terrible start to the campaign.
There have been suggestions Kane – who was largely anonymous in their 1-1 draw against Sheffield United at the weekend – could consider leaving the club if the north London outfit fail to turn around their poor form.
And Murphy reckons that Liverpool and Manchester City would both take Kane “with open arms” and the England international would even displace Firmino in the Liverpool side.
“I think Harry Kane would get in Liverpool’s team ahead of Firmino. He would score more goals.
“I love Firmino, but he’s not Harry Kane.
“And with Aguero being nearly 32, I think Man City fans would welcome Harry Kane with open arms.
“Are Spurs going to make the top four? I don’t think so. Are they going to win the Champions League? No.
“What would he cost? That’s another question.
“It could be a world record, he’s got a phenomenal goal record.”
