West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek has been offered to Tottenham following a breakdown in contract talks, according to reports.

The Czech has been key part of David Moyes’ side in recent years, forming an impressive partnership with Declan Rice in the Hammers midfield.

After initially joining on loan from Slavia Prague in 2019, the midfielder quickly had the deal made permanent following a series of good performances in a claret shirt.

The 27-year-old’s aerial ability was particularly impressive with Soucek already notching 19 times in 105 appearances for West Ham.

However, as per Football Insider, he has reportedly been offered to Spurs this summer after contract talks between the club and player broke down.

Soucek’s relationship with his manager, Moyes, has also reportedly deteriorated in recent weeks and there is a chance that the Czech midfielder could be sold this summer.

Whether that is to Spurs remains to be seen but Antonio Conte is likely to be strengthening his options this summer.

First choice duo Pierre-Emile Hojberg and Rodrigo Bentancur are back up by youngster Oliver Skipp but depth away from those three is lacking.

Harry Winks is reportedly available this summer, as are the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, who have spent time away from Spurs on loan.

Meanwhile, another midfield target for Spurs, Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso, has admitted a move to the Premier League would suit him.

Speaking to L’Equipe (quotes via InsideFutbol), the Frenchman, who is available on a free, said: “I want to go to a club where I will play a major role and keep winning trophies.

“England, with the intensity, would please me but I am not going to deny any league.

“I know what I am capable of and I know how much a change of life and air will do well for me.

“Today, I still want to play in the Champions League and win it again,” said the Bayern man

“I want to make the best decision for me, and my family and get out of this spiral.”
