Klopp admits he has ‘no clue’ what Liverpool keepers do in training
Jurgen Klopp has stated that he has ‘no clue’ what Liverpool duo Adrian and Alisson Becker do in training, but admitted it is clear who The Reds’ number one is.
Alisson recently returned to action for Liverpool in their 1-1 draw at Manchester United, and Klopp said that Adrian was ‘calm’ when he was told he would be dropped to the bench.
On the opening day of the season, Alisson suffered an injury against Norwich, which meant that Adrian – a summer signing from West Ham – found himself taking the goalkeeping gloves for Premier League and Champions League games.
Ahead of Liverpool’s Wednesday night Champions League game against Genk, Klopp shared his thoughts on the two goalkeepers.
“It was always clear when Ali was fit he would play,” Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.
“Adrian took it calm, they have been good for each other in training, the spirit in that goalkeeper training group is really strong. I like watching them, I have no clue what they do but I like watching them.”
