Klopp admits he hasn’t kept all his Liverpool squad ‘happy’
Jurgen Klopp admits it is not “possible” to keep his squad of players “happy” at Liverpool and insists he is fine with his team being “angry”.
The Reds have made a brilliant start to the new season and remain unbeaten in all competitions after their 2-0 win at Preston North End in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Klopp made wholesale changes as Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi got on the scoresheet in Lancashire.

With such a big, talented squad at his disposal, Klopp was asked how he kept them all happy. He responded: “I don’t think it’s possible and I don’t think I have done it. You should ask the players.
“The thing we have to do is win games especially when you play for Liverpool. When you are in football you learn early that you have to accept the decisions the manager makes.
“I want them to be good in training so they show when they come in they can be really influential.
“The players are doing that but they aren’t always happy. I want them to be happy but I want them to be angry as well when an opponent wants our points. It’s just what we do over the weeks and months.”

Liverpool demolished Manchester United 5-0 last weekend in their last Premier League match to keep the pressure on Chelsea, who are just one point ahead of them at the summit of the division.
But Klopp reckons even the clubs that feel “they have been a bit short” this season are still in the mix at the top of the league.
The German added: “This is just the standard of the league and to be in the area of the table at the top around May, it means you need to perform on an incredibly high level.
“At this moment, we don’t know if we will be. You can never be sure.
“It’s important for a good start and we’ve had that. But so have other clubs. Nothing really has happened in the table even for some clubs who have maybe felt they have been a bit short.”
