Klopp and PSG midfielder discuss free transfer – report
Jurgen Klopp and Adrien Rabiot have spoken on the phone to discuss a free transfer move to Liverpool next summer, according to French journalist Julien Laurens.
The PSG midfielder has long been a target for Klopp, who tried to sign him for Borussia Dortmund.
His contract at PSG expires next summer and he has so far resisted any overtures from the French club, who in turn resisted Barcelona’s attempts to sign him this year.
Laurens – writing for ESPN – claims that Liverpool have been in contact with Rabiot’s agent and mother about a possible move to his boyhood club.
Veronique Rabiot already put in a transfer request back in 2015 if I recall correctly. She wanted 35 games per season for him then. She had a few requirements too 1) club must be an exciting project (Man United is out) 2) must play left Central MF 3) Club should have a DM

“I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young,” he said last year.
Rabiot has started all four of PSG’s victories this season, while Liverpool have won their opening four games with a midfield featuring the resurgent Gio Wijnaldum.
