Klopp awaits ‘agreement’ as Liverpool ‘present project’ to midfielder ‘100%’ bound for transfer
Liverpool have ‘presented their project’ to Alexis Mac Allister with the Argentine ‘100%’ expected to leave Brighton this summer, according to reports.
Mac Allister joined the Seagulls for a measly €8million from Argentinos Juniors in January 2019.
After spending time on loan at Argentinos and Boca Juniors, Mac Allister made his Brighton debut in March 2020, coming off the bench in the 80th minute of Albion’s 0-0 Premier League draw at Wolves.
The 24-year-old is one of many brilliant coups made by the Premier League club over the years.
They have also completed the shrewd signings of Moises Caicedo and Kaoru Mitoma, who are now both worth an absolute fortune.
And Brighton should get a very nice fee for Mac Allister should he depart at the end of the season.
The Argentine international helped his nation win the World Cup last December and is enjoying a wonderful campaign at club level.
In 33 matches across all competitions in 2022-23, Mac Allister has scored 10 goals and provided two assists.
Multiple reports have linked the midfielder to Liverpool and Manchester United.

Given his energetic style of play and wonderful technical ability, it has to be said that Mac Allister looks like he would be a very good signing for the Reds.
He would probably be brilliant for United, but Jurgen Klopp needs midfield recruits much more than Erik ten Hag – who is prioritising the signing of a striker this summer.
Rumours of a transfer to Anfield are heating up, with Fabrizio Romano providing two updates on Thursday.
Writing on Twitter in the morning, Romano said that ‘Liverpool have presented their project and also financial proposal’ to the player.
‘Discussions’ are believed to be ‘advancing’, though there is no ‘agreement’ quite yet.
Romano has the ‘feeling’ Mac Allister will ‘100% leave Brighton’ at the end of this season.
The transfer expert stated a bit later on in the day that Liverpool are eager to act ‘fast’ on this deal with May and June expected to be ‘crucial months’.
Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo gave some more clarity on the situation.
Writing on Twitter, he said:
‘Liverpool moved forward with a formal proposal for Alexis Mac Allister, as he told Fabrizio Romano.
‘It is a contract until 2028. The idea of the player of the Argentine national team is to wait for the Premier League to end and decide his future, he will be away from Brighton.’
