Alisson, who was one of the Reds’ key players last term, has been out since August 9 when he suffered a calf injury in the 4-1 win over Norwich City at Anfield.
Second-choice stopper Adrian has deputised well in place of the Brazilian since, but speaking to reporters ahead of Saturday’s match, Klopp provided some good news on Alisson’s fitness.
“With Alisson it is maybe, maybe not,” the German said. “He trained with the squad for the first time yesterday [Thursday].
“He looked really good, so we will see. I have to talk to a few different people before I make a decision on that.
“With goalkeepers it is different, but the good thing is that we don’t feel pressure. We don’t have to rush it and he has been training for around 10 days.
“I have to talk because I haven’t had chance yet, but I will do it immediately after the press conference.”
Klopp also confirmed that Joel Matip is still out with an injury that has seen him miss the last two games, while Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri also remains sidelined.
