Klopp: I feel really responsible for this performance

Jurgen Klopp has accepted responsibility for Liverpool’s FA Cup fourth round 2-1 defeat to Wolves and has said he doesn’t “feel let down” by his players.

Wolves were gifted the perfect start when Richard Stearman headed home after just 53 seconds under no pressure from the Liverpool defence before Andreas Weimann rounded Loris Karius to make it two on 41 minutes.

The Reds did get one back through Divock Origi with four minutes remaining of normal time but it was too little too late from Klopp’s side.

“Very disappointing. Start in the game doesn’t make it easier, let’s them fly,” Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.

“I feel really responsible for this performance. I thought we could do better but we couldn’t.

“If this is the lowest point of my LFC time now, then it’s the perfect time to change. In this moment we feel really bad.

“Not a lot of the players not involved today could have played. Today’s my responsibility. I don’t feel let down.”
