Jurgen Klopp says that Liverpool are looking to sell Lazar Markovic.
Markovic was signed for £20m during Brendan Rodgers’ reign, but struggled to impress at Anfield.
He was loaned out to Hull City and Sporting CP last season, following a similar spell at Fenerbahce in 2015/16.
Now Klopp says that Markovic will leave Liverpool if they can find a buyer. He is still just 23.
“With Lazar, it’s no secret that if he finds a club then we will negotiate,” Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.
“It was like this last year too. He’s a really good player. I like him as a person.
“He’s now fit and another one who is in the best shape since I’ve known him.
“Before he had problems with his groin but now he’s good. There will be a club out there who needs him.”
But that club is not Liverpool…
