Koulibaly has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the last 18 months.

But questions remain over their depth in the centre of defence with Fabinho forced to fill in in admirably in their 2-0 victory over Chelsea.

And Le Parisien (via Get Football News) are claiming the Reds are looking to hijack Man City’s move for Koulibaly from Napoli.

The Senegalese has reportedly agreed a provisional contract with Pep Guardiola’s side but Klopp is attempting a last gasp bid to change his mind.

The report claims Liverpool will use compatriot Sadio Mane to convince the £70m-rated star to move to Anfield over Man City.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Koulibaly but do not have the required funds to meet Napoli’s demands.
