Klopp negotiations a ‘state secret’ as he attempts to ‘seduce’ Bundesliga star to Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly attempting to persuade Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham to move to Liverpool over Real Madrid in the summer.
There has been speculation that the Reds will attempt to sign a new midfielder in the summer transfer window as Klopp looks to boost his numbers in the centre of the park.
Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier this week that Liverpool were preparing to make an offer for France international Aurelien Tchouameni with the Reds facing competition from a number of other clubs.

However, another the Reds will no doubt have other irons in the fire in case they miss out on targets and Spanish publication Nacional reckons Bellingham is towards the top of their list.
The 18-year-old has six goals and 11 assists in all competitions for Dortmund this campaign with the youngster still having so much room to improve.
It is understood that Real Madrid ‘have held talks’ with Borussia Dortmund’s board over the availability of Bellingham but Klopp ‘hopes that they will be faster at Anfield’.
The Liverpool boss wants to ‘convince the midfielder and his entourage’ before Real Madrid’s interest becomes serious and ‘he has already been in meetings to promise him a place in the starting eleven’.
Klopp wants ‘to seduce’ the England international by offering ‘him with a very interesting project and financial proposal’ with the newspaper describing the negotiations as a ‘state secret’.
The report adds that Real Madrid ‘must act quickly’ or risk losing out to Liverpool on Bellingham, who would cost either club in excess of €100m.
Meanwhile, former Premier League striker Kevin Campbell recently advised Arsenal to try and pip Liverpool to the signing of Bellingham.
“He’s a quality player. Someone who’s got legs, who fits in with the youth element, who’s got big capacity to grow as well,” Campbell said on the Highbury Squad podcast in March.
“He’s of that standard that he’s already a full England international. That really fits our bill and ticks the box.
“We do lack goals from the midfield. Thomas Partey, we don’t want to put goals on him because we know what his shooting’s like at times.
“The other player who plays with him who then tends to move a bit further forward has to be able to get in the box and score some goals for us. Has to be a little bit more creative.
“Jude Bellingham, you see him at Dortmund, he’s added that to his game.”
