A trio of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, are interested in signing Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports in Italy.

Chiesa had established himself as one of the best wingers in world football before rupturing his ACL in January 2022.

Since then, the Italian international has struggled with little niggly injuries and has been unable to recapture his pre-injury form.

Given his struggles on and off the pitch, Juventus are reportedly willing to cut their losses and could sell Chiesa for as little as £30million, when he was worth closer to £100m two years ago.

After scoring four goals in 33 games last season, the 25-year-old is attracting interest from the Premier League.

According to Tuttosport, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United are all keen.

It is said that the Reds are ‘above all’ in their level of interest with Jurgen Klopp ‘in particular is very intrigued by the Juventus winger’.

Speaking after Juventus’ 2022/23 campaign came to an end, Chiesa admitted he is only “thinking about Juventus” and is looking forward to representing his country in this month’s international break.

“It was a difficult season, especially for the time it took me to recover,” he said. “We need to get up and think about the future. We want to think about bringing Juve back to being competitive.

“I do the internship with the national team and then the Nations League Final Four, then we’ll see. I’m at Juventus and I’m thinking about Juventus.”

Another player Newcastle and Liverpool are fighting to sign is Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone.

French journalist Ignazio Genuardi (as relayed by Sport Witness) says the Reds have ‘approached’ Kone, who ‘arouses the interest of Chelsea and Newcastle’.

Genuardi says the Magpies want at least two new midfielders and the Gladbach star is ‘very popular’ at St James’ Park.
