Lacazette explains why Arsenal must keep ‘legend’ Ramsey

Arsenal must be “respectful” of Aaron Ramsey and keep him at the club.

Ramsey has one year remaining on his current Arsenal contract, with his future in north London in significant doubt.

New manager Unai Emery has outlined his plans to keep the Welshman and make him one of his five captains.

But Ramsey seems no closer to extending his deal, and Lacazette has implored Arsenal to act.

“Ramsey is really important,” Lacazete said. “Aaron is there for maybe 10 years, he’s a legend in the club so we have to be respectful for everything he has done.

“Of course with his quality he can help the team to be better.

“He’s an example for all the young players. Of course we need Aaron in the team.”
