Alexandre Lacazette will travel to London to complete his record breaking move to Arsenal from Lyon, according to the Telegraph.

Their report states that the Gunners have “agreed a deal worth up to £52 million” for the striker, with £46m of that up front.

That just surpasses the £42.5m they paid for Mesut Ozil in 2014, while Lyon could receive £6m on top of the initial fee through add-ons.

According to the report, £2.6m of those bonuses are “easy to achieve” and “the remaining £3.4m more difficult to reach”.

Lacazette will travel to London to complete his medical and sign a contract with the Gunners.

The Frenchman was seemingly destined to join Atletico Madrid, however the decision to uphold their transfer ban until January allowed Arsenal to swoop.

Arsenal fell short in their attempts to capture Lacazette a year ago, but now they appear to have landed their main target, despite a lack of Champions League football.

The signing will no doubt throw up further question marks surrounding the future of Alexis Sanchez, who has been linked with a move away from Arsenal.
