Arsenal, Leicester City and AC Milan are all interested in Southampton’s out of contract left-back Ryan Bertrand, according to reports.
The defender came through the ranks with Chelsea. He went onto make 57 senior appearances for them.
His most notable outing for the Blues came in the 2012 Champions League final. He started on the left-wing against Bayern Munich and his side went onto win 4-3 on penalties.
Bertrand left Chelsea in 2015 as he joined Southampton. He was initially on loan but his move was made permanent for around £10m.
The defender has played over 200 times for the Saints since his move. His form for them helped him add 17 England caps to his overall tally of 19.
Bertrand is out of contract this summer and he has announced that he will leave the club.
The Foxes see him as an ideal signing to come in to cover at left-back. They add that Bertrand is waiting to see whether Leicester make it into the Champions League before he makes his decision.
Elsewhere, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has ruled out Joe Willock leaving this summer. The youngster is on loan at Newcastle and with them he has seven goals from his 13 Premier League outings:
Arteta said: I am really happy that things have gone so well because of the potential that he has.
“I think it was great for him to go away and have a different experience, he has grabbed that opportunity in a really positive and remarkable way. He will come back to us, we will have a conversation with him and plan the next years for him.
“He got the responsibility and the task to go to Newcastle to help them go where they want. I’m telling you that I spoke with the coaching staff and they are extremely happy because he was a key part in contributing to get the objectives that they had. So that’s a real positive for him.
“He’s got a contract and that’s going to be here. That’s for sure.”
