FULL-TIME: It’s all over and what a comeback inspired by Sergio Aguero as he scores twice in the final five minutes to earn Manchester City an unlikely 3-2 win over 10 man Bayern Munich.
Aguero is taken off to a standing ovation and replaced by Demechillis.
Aguero is then booked for time-wasting after taking his time to get back for the restart of the game.
GOAL: Aguero grabs a hat-trick as Boateng makes a right mess of clearing the ball and Aguero steals the ball and slots it past Neuer to send the home fans into raptures.
There will be three minutes of added time at the end of the 90 minutes.
Zabaleta is taking a risk as he dives into another challenge on Hojbjerg just seconds after getting booked.
Zabaleta is booked for a late tackle on Bernat.
GOAL: Manchester City draw level as Jovetic intercepts a poor pass from Xabi Alonso and the ball falls to Aguero who bursts clear and slots his left-footed shot into the corner past Neuer.
Bayern make their final change as Shaqiri replaces Lewandowski
Lampard’s runs clear onto Aguero’s pass, but the midfielder is adjudged to be offside.
Bayern make a change as Ribery is replaced by Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Neuer is booked for apparent time-wasting as he dithers over taking a goalkick.
From a corner the ball falls to Kompany, but on the turn the defender is unable to direct his volley on target.
Neuer punches away Nasri’s free-kick and Robben then blocks Zabaleta’s shot on the edge of the box.
Chance for City to deliver a ball into the box as Aguero wins a free-kick off Dante.
Vital interception from Dante to stop Lampard getting on the end of Aguero’s header inside the box.
Dante and Neuer almost get in a mess with Aguero trying to get between the pair, but Neuer takes control and gathers the ball.
Great strike from Lampard as Aguero tees up the midfielder on the edge of the box and he drills in a shot which forces Neuer to tip the ball over.
City make another change as Zabaleta comes on for Sagna.
Jovetic tries to slip in Aguero, but Neuer is quickly off his line to gather the ball.
Good defending from Kompany to cut out Lewandowski intended through ball for Robben.
City make a change as Jovetic comes on for James Milner.
Robben runs to the edge of the box and fires in a low shot which lacks the power to trouble Hart.
Aguero is caught offside as he tries to get on the end of Lampard’s pass.
Booking for Clichy as he trips up Boateng.
Lewandowski and Kompany have a tangle on the sidelines after a challenge between the pair, but the pair are quickly separated.
City trying to build up a head of steam, but Bayern still look comfortable.
Decent effort from Milner as he tries his luck with a curling shot on the edge of the box, but it sails just over the top.
Good run from Navas to get on the end of Nasri’s pass and he fires in a shot which Neuer turns behind for a corner.
Wasteful from Navas down the right as with men over he loses the ball to Boateng.
Chance for Alonso as Ribery cuts the ball back on the edge of the box, but on his weaker left-foot he loops the shot over the top.
Quick start after the break by Bayern as Robben gets free down the right, but Kompany comes across to cut out the danger.
RESTART: Bayern Munich get the second half underway with no changes from either side at the break.
Nasri works it short to Navas and it is wasted as the referee brings the first half to a close.
City win a corner right at the end of the half much to annoyance of Neuer.
GOAL: Bayern go in front as Lewandowski nets his first goal for Bayern as he outmuscles Sagna to get on the end of Boateng’s cross with the ball looping in off his shoulder.
Even with 10 men Bayern still looking good on the ball and remain formidable opposition.
GOAL: Alonso steps up and takes the free-kick and he curls it low into the bottom corner past a stranded Hart.
Bayern win a free-kick right on the edge of the box as Mangala brings down Lewandowski.
Nicely worked free-kick from City as Aguero tees up Aguero who drives in a rising shot just over the top.
Good run from Aguero on the edge of the box, but Dante just gets a foot to knick the ball off the Argentine.
30 minutes gone and perfect start for City who lead 1-0 thanks to Aguero’s penalty with Bayern down to ten men after Benatia’s red card.
City win a corner, but Nasri’s delivery is cleared by Alonso.
Good run from Sagna down the right and he pulls the ball across the edge of the box, but Alonso keeps his cool to roll it back to Neuer who clears the danger.
Bayern make a tactical change as Dante comes on to replace Rode to help fill the void left by Benatia’s sending off.
Hart has a lucky escape goes straight to Rode, but he fails to control and City manage to clear the danger.
GOAL: Aguero slots home the penalty to give Manchester City the lead with his 15th goal of the season.
Benatia is sent off for the offence.
Play switches straight to the other end and Aguero is felled by Benatia to concede a penalty and a red card.
Robben gets down the left and cuts the ball back to Rafinha who fires in a shot which is superbly blocked by Mangala.
Navas fires over a cross from the right, but there is no one in a City shirt to get on the end of it.
Good defending from Milner as he heads the ball back to Hart to ease the pressure on his side.
Milner then gets down the right and his cross is deflected behind for a corner by Alonso. Nasri’s corner is poor and cleared by Lewandowski.
Great ball from Mangala finds Navas in space down the right, but his cross is blocked by Bernat.
Good defending from Benatia as Aguero tries to turn him inside the penalty area.
Robben tries his luck from range, but fires it wide of Joe Hart’s right-hand post. The Dutchman wants a corner feeling his effort was deflected wide, but nothing given by referee Pavel Kralovec
Great save from Hart to deny Rode scoring from Robben’s lofted pass into the box.
Rode makes a mess of things as he gets his footing wrong and in trying to cross the ball he kicks it straight out of play.
The Bayern fans are in good voice and their side are now starting to settle into the contest.
Good run from Clichy down the left and he sends over a cross to Lampard, but under pressure he is unable to direct his header on target.
Bright start from City as they look to impose themselves on Bayern.
Play switches straight up the other end and Nasri sees a shot blocked on the edge of the box.
Risky from Mangala as he is almost robbed of the ball by Robben before the ball is cleared.
KICK-OFF: Man City get the game underway with Bayern already through the last 16 and City looking for all three points to boost their chances.
The two teams emerge from the tunnel as we get ready for kick-off.
Bayern have won four and drawn one of their last five matches in England, while City have only lost once at home to German opposition.
Lee O’Toole believes City can defy the odds and win and is happy to see Sergio Aguero playing up front on his own.
How big a blow is that City are without Yaya Toure, David Silva and Fernandinho tonight?
