Liverpool accept £6m offer for reserve left-back
Liverpool have accepted a remarkable bid of £6m from Bournemouth for a left-back who has started three Premier League games.
Australian international Brad Smith has made just five PL appearances for Liverpool, and was sent off in a game against Swansea at the end of last season.
The Cherries have already paid £15m for Jordon Ibe, who made just 12 Premier League starts last season. At this rate, they may well bid £12m for Conor Randall.
The Liverpool Echo – who broke the story – understand that sell-on and buy-back clauses will be included in the deal for Smith, who has nine caps for Australia.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is understood to be in the market for a left-back to challenge Alberto Moreno for the left-back slot at Anfield.
£21m for Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith. This is the summer that makes us change our perception of what is transfer window 'normal'.
