Liverpool enter race for £59m star as Chelsea hold ‘secret meeting’

Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign Real Madrid outcast Isco after Chelsea held a ‘secret transfer meeting’ in an attempt to sign the Spaniard.

Isco has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for a number of months amid a mixed first half to the campaign, and both Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with a move, according to El Desmarque.

The report claims Chelsea have ‘arranged a house’ for Isco to ease his transition to the Premier League, with Stamford Bridge chiefs desperate to add the Spain international to Frank Lampard’s squad.

The 27-year-old has managed just 10 starts in all competitions since the start of the season prompting speculation he could be on the move sooner rather than later.

He has enjoyed a return to form in recent weeks, however, with a goalscoring display in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final win over Valencia drawing praise from Zinedine Zidane.

The Real Madrid boss is reportedly concerned by the prospect of Isco leaving the Spanish capital club, and El Desmarque claim an announcement on Isco’s future will be delayed until after Euro 2020, however, out of respect for Los Blancos.
