Liverpool could pay £10m-plus for Ings

Liverpool will have to pay a record tribunal fee for Danny Ings if Burnley can prove Tottenham’s interest in the now-crocked striker.

The Clarets are expected to claim that Spurs were willing to pay £10-12m for Ings rather than wait for a tribunal valuation of the England man.

Liverpool – according to reports on MailOnline – value Ings at just £6m, but the Premier League and the Professional Football Compensation Committee (PFCC) are likely to award Burnley at least £10m if they can prove that another club would have paid that amount.

The current record is the £6.5m Chelsea were ordered to pay Manchester City for Daniel Sturridge back in 2009.
