Liverpool’s Coutinho on his Barcelona status: ‘It’s complicated’

Philippe Coutinho has done little to quell rumours of a Barcelona move by saying that talking about a switch is “complicated”.

The Brazilian was asked about reported interest from Barcelona while on international duty and neglected to mention Liverpool by name.

“Talking about this is complicated,” he said. “I have a contract with my club and it is long.

“So my focus is on the present and the national team. My focus is here.”

Coutinho is celebrating his 25th birthday by captaining Brazil against Australia.
