Xherdan Shaqiri and Jamie Carragher poked fun at Gary Neville after Liverpool beat Manchester United.

Shaqiri came off the bench to score twice for Liverpool and seal a 3-1 victory over bitter rivals United on Sunday.

Shaqiri was named man of the match after his two deflected goals helped decide the game – although Graeme Souness wasn’t all that impressed.

Carragher presented the forward with the award, but ensured to reference fellow Sky Sports pundit – and United fan – Neville.

“Gary Neville was going to give it to you but he didn’t want to come down and face you,” he said, handing the award over to Shaqiri.

“Say hello,” the summer signing replied, laughing his big Swiss arse off.

Neville has been a vocal critic of Shaqiri’s for some time, saying “he epitomised” the “unprofessionalism” that saw Stoke relegated last season.
