Liverpool ‘hot’ on trail of €60m Roma star – report

Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Nicolò Zaniolo’s situation at Roma, with a view to potential move for the playmaker.

Roma are reluctant to sell the 20-year-old – who has impressed in Serie A this season – but may be forced to, with the financial toll of the coronavirus pandemic hitting the club hard.

Tuttosport claim Liverpool are ‘hot’ on Zaniolo’s trail, and that it’s the Reds ‘in particular’ who are keen on the midfielder, according to Sport Witness.

Juventus are also thought to be interested, but Roma’s €60million valuation may price Serie A suitors out of a deal.

Jurgen Klopp has claimed Liverpool are not in the market for big-money signings this summer.

But with Chelsea securing major deals and Manchester United and Manchester City likely to strengthen, the German may need to alter his stance if the Reds are planning on continued Premier League dominance.
