It has been claimed that Liverpool are on the verge of signing Jude Bellingham as his move to the Premier League from Dortmund is “all agreed”.

Bellingham is Liverpool’s top target heading into this summer’s transfer window. The Premier League club have been working on this deal for months but they face significant competition from Real Madrid and Manchester City.

The Borussia Dortmund teenager is under contract until 2025 so it will take a huge bid to prize him away from the Bundesliga outfit.

It has been suggested that Bellingham could cost as much as £130m this summer. Differing reports have emerged in recent weeks regarding Liverpool’s chances of signing the midfielder.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein suggested earlier this month that the Reds are now ‘increasingly unlikely’ to recruit the midfielder.

But Liverpool are not expected to give up and British football agent Haydn Dodge has boldly claimed that they have “submitted a £100m bid” for Bellingham.

“It’s known that a bid [from Liverpool] just shy of £100m has been submitted for Jude Bellingham ahead of this summer’s transfer window,” Dodge said.

“A revamp in the middle of the park is exactly what Liverpool, their fans and Jurgen Klopp need so it is not surprising to see them going all out for Bellingham.”

Journalist Jacque Talbot has now revealed that he has “received two texts” saying an offer from Liverpool “has been accepted”.

“What do you make of these Hayden Dodge comments? That’s the agent, isn’t it? Who said Liverpool have made a bid for Bellingham,” Talbot said via his YouTube channel.

“I mentioned it earlier that I’ve had two texts saying a bid has been accepted and it’s all agreed and there’s a clause if he becomes a captain in two years, it’s just noise, there’s so many people involved in the deal and things will trickle out sometimes.”

As Talbot rightly points out, this information needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. It is likely to be a few more weeks at least before we discover where Bellingham’s future truly lies.

Liverpool would certainly love to sign him, though. Midfielder Jordan Henderson thinks it would be “amazing” if they were able to sign Bellingham.

“Listen, I just want him to be the best player he can be,” Henderson said.

“Of course, if it ended up being Liverpool that would be amazing. But it’s got to be right for him and it’s going to be every club you can think of that will want him.

“He has to think about himself and make sure he makes the right decision for his career.

“But there’s going to be one lucky club that will end up getting him, whether that is now or in a year or two, it will be a lucky club.”
