Sheyi Ojo has signed a new long-term Liverpool contract before heading to French side Stade Reims on loan.
Liverpool have not disclosed the length of the contract extension for Ojo, who joined the club’s youth set-up in 2011.
He has made 13 first-team appearances for the Reds, and spent last season helping Fulham earn promotion from the Championship on loan.
The 21-year-old will now head out for his fourth separate loan spell with Reims, who are sixth in Ligue Un after three games.
Ojo, who was the most expensive 14-year-old ever when he moved to Anfield from MK Dons, is the first of four players Liverpool are looking to offload before Friday’s European transfer deadline.
Divock Origi, Lazar Markovic and Pedro Chirivella are the remaining players that Jurgen Klopp has deemed surplus to requirements.
