Bellingham, who is still only 18-years-old, already has over 100 first team appearances and 12 England caps and looked to be the next Dortmund star to make the move the the Premier League.

Fellow English talent Jadon Sancho returned back to England last summer, joining Manchester United after an impressive spell in the Bundesliga.

And it was confirmed earlier this week that Haaland will join City this summer after the club activated his release clause.

However, Bellingham has revealed he will not be the next Dortmund star to move the the Premier League, claiming his ‘destiny’ is in his own hands.

The midfielder told Ruhr Nachrichten: “The only future I think about is the next game for Dortmund.

“I look forward to next season. I look forward to it starting again. But yes, I will be here next season and I will be ready.

“My destiny is in my own hands and I know that if I try hard and trust the people around me, I can move forward.

“I came from England as a young talent. There was not much pressure. The first season went well. There were also matches where I sat on the bench and sometimes I did not play at all.

“I think my development this year has meant that I have played a bigger role in every game except two. I am very grateful to Dortmund for the way they have nurtured my talent.

“I think a lot of the credit goes to the coaching staff and the staff who keep the noise around me. In this way I can only focus on winning matches, because that’s what I’m here for.”

On Haaland, Bellingham added: “I told him that I am very happy for him that he can take the next step on his path as a footballer.

“He’s a brilliant player, a brilliant guy. I will miss that the most. He’s a really good character. I think City are very lucky to have such a player.”
