Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure says “it would be a dream” to play for Liverpool.

Doucoure, a member of our Premier League uncapped XI, has impressed for Watford this season, scoring seven goals and assisting a further three in 32 appearances.

The Frenchman joined the Hornets in February 2016, but only established himself in the Premier League in the early part of 2017.

Doucoure has attracted interest from a number of clubs, namedropping three when discussing his future last month.

Liverpool were one of that triptych, and he has once again fluttered his eyelashes at Jurgen Klopp.

“Liverpool is a club that needs no introduction,” he told Canal+.

“I was impatient to play there at Anfield, I wanted to feel the atmosphere. For me it would be a dream to play in a club like this.

“I am grateful to Watford, I have the confidence of this club, it is the one who revealed to me [to the Premier League].

“If there is an offer, we will discuss to find the best solution. Everyone wants to play in the Champions League, the big competitions.”
