Liverpool ‘haven’t contacted’ Bayern yet over Thiago move
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claims that Liverpool have yet to make contact with the German club over a move for Thiago Alcantara.
Thiago has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool throughout the summer, with some reports suggesting he had even agreed a four-year contract ahead of a move to Anfield
However, the Premier League champions have reservations over spending £23m or so on a 29-year-old with less than 12 months left on his Bayern Munich deal, particularly in the current economic climate.

And German newspaper Abendzeitung (via Sport Witness) claim on Tuesday that Liverpool remains the ‘dream destination’ for the Spanish midfielder but that Liverpool still have to meet Bayern’s €30m plus asking price if a deal is to be concluded.
And Rummenigge has been talking to the press on Tuesday and says that Liverpool are yet to make contact, let alone make a bid.
“We always read a lot about Liverpool, but they haven’t contacted us yet,” Rummenigge told Bild.
“Yesterday we had the meeting with our employees and his whole family was there, and they wandered around the square in great nostalgia [in the Allianz Arena], I would say. It looked a lot like goodbye, as if he had made up his mind.”
