Liverpool pose ‘big problem’ for Real Madrid as they plan €90m bid to sign England star

Real Madrid are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, with Liverpool also keen, according to reports.
The 18-year-old signed for Dortmund for £22m in 2020 and has made 90 appearances for the German club.

He is already a mainstay in Gareth Southgate’s England squad and is arguably the most promising teenage footballer in the world.
Bellingham has plenty of admirers, including Real Madrid and Liverpool. However, neither team is expected to make a move this summer.
Having said that, Madrid could make an offer in the current transfer window, with the view of the Englishman joining next summer.
This is according to Cadena Sar, who say Los Blancos ‘quota is full’, meaning the arrival of Aurelien Tchouameni, on top of Luka Modric’s contract extension, would not allow Bellingham sufficient playing time next term.
Madrid have ‘made Dortmund aware’ of their interest and if they weren’t chasing a new forward after failing to sign Kylian Mbappe, they might have looked to make Bellingham a part of their team sooner rather than later.

As opposed to a transfer this summer, the Spanish champions would look for ‘a commitment to have a preferential option for the English player and that would come next year’.
The 14-time Champions League winners will likely put €90m on the table for the former Birmingham City youngster.
Unfortunately for Madrid, Liverpool are a ‘big problem’ given Jurgen Klopp’s admiration of the midfielder.
Making both teams’ pursuit of Bellingham even harder, Dortmund are reluctant to let him leave this summer after losing Erling Haaland to Manchester City.
Elsewhere, AS Roma have confirmed the signing of Nemanja Matic on a free transfer.
The Serbian midfielder left Manchester United upon the expiry of his contract after making 189 appearances for the Red Devils.
Roma said in a statement on their official website: “The club is delighted to confirm the signing of Nemanja Matic.
“Matic, 33, has put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract with the Giallorossi that runs until 30 June 2023.”
