Mo Salah is the subject of strong interest from Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad are ready to try again for Liverpool forward Mo Salah before their transfer window closes, according to reports.

The Reds have already lost Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia this summer and in the final couple of weeks of the English transfer window there were rumours linking Salah, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate with Al-Ittihad.

Saudi Arabian teams still have until their transfer window closes on Thursday to get more deals over the line but any Premier League side will be reluctant to sell players while there is no possibility of bringing in a replacement.

But it won’t stop Al-Ittihad trying with The I newspaper claiming they are ‘preparing to launch a world-record £215m bid’ for Salah before Thursday.

The Reds have already rejected an offer worth as much as £150m from the Saudi Pro League outfit with Salah still one of the best players in world football.

Salah scored Liverpool’s third goal in their 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday and he remains essential to Jurgen Klopp’s plans with the Merseysiders clear he is not for sale.

A source has told The I that there is still ‘plenty of time’ for Al-Ittihad to complete a move for Salah and that their new offer will have to at least be considered.

The report added: ‘Sources said, however, that £215m, after add-ons have been taken into account, is an offer that nobody can flat out refuse without at least considering what can be done when reinvesting such funds.’

A delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) have ‘been in London since last week’ as they looked to get a number of deals over the line and now they will remain there ‘as they prepare one final attempt to prise Salah from Liverpool’s grasp’.

The report continued: ‘Saudi sources believe that Salah would at least want to hear Al-Ittihad out. They insist that any Arab player would want the adulation that the Egyptian would receive, with the unprecedented riches on offer an additional bonus.’

Speaking after their win over Aston Villa, Liverpool boss Klopp was very calm about Salah’s future at Anfield despite the Saudi transfer window remaining open.

“I never had any doubt about his commitment to this club,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“You can’t imagine how much fuss the world has made but how calm we are with it. He is our player and wants to play here.”
