Barnes has scored six goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in a shock summer move for Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes.

Jurgen Klopp is impressed with the 22-year-old’s ‘energy and forceful running’, according to The Mirror.

Barnes has become a regular under Brendan Rodgers at Leicester this season, scoring six goals and providing eight assists; it will be difficult for Liverpool to prize him from the King Power Stadium.

Klopp is thought to be looking to add depth to his forward line, with Wolves’ Adama Traore also linked with a move to Anfield.

But Nuno Espirito Santo will be reticent to sell one of his best players and any bid would have to likely be more siginificant than Liverpool are able to produce.

Klopp has already admitted the club are not in a position to spend large amounts of money, but Barnes is thought to be a cheaper option than Traore and the many other forwards linked with the club.
