Liverpool misfit Mario Balotelli is in talks with Swiss outfit FC Sion over a potential loan move.

Balotelli is understood to have been training alone after being told he is not part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans at Anfield.

The Italy international has been linked with a host of clubs this summer, but Sion’s chairman admits he has held talks with the player’s representatives in London.

“I can confirm we’re discussing about a possible loan of Balotelli,” Constantin told Ticinonews.ch. “We’re progressing but I can’t say yet if the transfer will be successful or not.”

Should Balotelli join the Swiss Super League side then that could open the door for Moussa Konaté to move the the Premier League, with Hull interested in the Senegal striker.

Sion midfielder Edimilson Fernandes, meanwhile, is close to joining West Ham after a £5.5million fee was agreed for the 20-year-old.
