Liverpool target’s move to European giant is ‘99%’ done as ‘an agreement is ready for 2023’

RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer is set to sign for Bayern Munich on a free transfer next year amid reports linking him with Liverpool.
The Reds have been linked with several midfielders over the past few months with it being their priority to strengthen in that depart next year.
Arthur Melo was recruited as a short-term fix in the summer but they are expected to sign at least one new centre-midfielder next year.
Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner are all out of contract in 2023.
It would not be a surprise if Milner pens a new one-year extension but Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain are expected to move on.
Laimer has been linked with Liverpool amid his excellent form for RB Leipzig. He also would have been a cheap option as his contract is due to expire next summer.
But according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are no longer in the running to sign Laimer.
The transfer guru has claimed that ‘an agreement is ready’ for him to join Bayern Munich.
‘Another update on Liverpool – they have left the race for Konrad Laimer. They were interested in him last summer, but he stayed at RB Leipzig,’ Romano wrote for Caught Offside.
‘It now looks like a verbal agreement is in place for him to join Bayern Munich, so nothing will happen with Liverpool or other English clubs.
‘Laimer is 99% a new Bayern player, an agreement is ready for 2023. Julian Nagelsmann has wanted him for a long time, and now the player can sign with Bayern when he becomes a free agent in the summer. The direction of this deal is now absolutely clear.
‘Another top midfielder making headlines right now is Enzo Fernandez. It’s important to say that Benfica want to keep the player.
‘It’s true that Liverpool and Real Madrid are interested, but at the moment there are no negotiations, and his release clause is €120million.’
Liverpool would love to sign Jude Bellingham and Romano has confirmed that Jurgen Klopp is desperate for this transfer to go through.
‘Jurgen Klopp is really keen for this deal after missing out on Aurelien Tchouameni last summer, and now they are working on a deal for Bellingham on the player’s side,’ Romano added.
‘But, Manchester City are there, they have to be considered part of the race. City will try, and they know that Bellingham has a special relationship with Erling Haaland, his former Borussia Dortmund teammate.
‘Chelsea will try too and let’s see how serious their proposal will be. We also know Real Madrid are keen, but they have no intention to pay crazy money for this deal. They’ve had some talks with the player, but we’ll see if they pursue negotiation on the club side.’
