Thiago Alcantara has ended his period of self-isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.

Liverpool revealed on September 29 that their big summer signing was exhibiting minor symptoms of the virus and the Spain midfielder would remain in self-isolation ‘for the required period of time’.

UK guidelines state that anyone who receives a coronavirus diagnosis must isolate for at least 10 days – a period which has now elapsed.

Thiago made the most of his freedom to explore his new home city, with the former Bayern Munich star posting images on Instagram of him taking a stroll through Liverpool.
