Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool are willing to pay a huge sum to bring Ousmane Dembele to Anfield this summer, according to reports.

Arsenal and Liverpool in particular have been linked with the 21-year-old over the past year.

The France forward was reportedly unhappy back in December at Barcelona, who were convinced he had a gaming addiction, while there have been a number of off-field incidents that have frustrated Barca staff.

And now Spanish newspaper Don Balon reckons Liverpool are prepared to pay Barcelona’s €150million (£133m) asking price for the France international.

The report adds that Jurgen Klopp thinks Dembele would compliment his other attackers or be a possible replacement for either Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah, if they were to leave this summer.

Noises out of Anfield and from Klopp have hinted that there won’t be any major transfer business done this summer after they lifted the Champions League trophy. With that in mind, any rumour of a deal for Dembele does seem a bit far-fetched.
