Dejan Lovren lost his cool on Instagram when a Liverpool fan page posted a video of Loris Karius making a mistake against Borussia Dortmund.

The German keeper has made a few blunders in pre-season matches after dropping two clangers in the Champions League final against Real Madrid at the end of last campaign.

Liverpool recently signed Alisson from Roma in a world-record deal for a goalkeeper worth £65million, leaving Karius’ future at Anfield up in the air.

Lovren, no stranger himself to criticism from the terraces, took exception when a page on Instagram called ‘anfieldclub._’ posted a video of Karius and claimed the 25-year-old wasn’t worthy of a Liverpool shirt.

The caption on the video read: “Thank god we’ve got @alissonbecker.

“It’s becoming a regular thing for @lorisk21. I seriously believe that we should sell him because even as a backup he’s just full of mistakes. I don’t care what anyone says but he is not worthy of wearing the LFC shirt.

“And this is for all the mistakes he makes in general for the ones thinking that I’m slaughtering him just for this.”

However, Lovren took exception to the post and hit out at their treatment of Karius.

“You are full of s***,” replied Lovren. “Shame on you how you treat our player! And also the name Liverpool fan page.”

Lovren received plenty of praise from other Reds supporters over his response to the video.
