Malacia ‘agrees personal terms’ with Manchester United after overcoming ‘issue’

Manchester United and Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia have come to an agreement over personal terms, according to reports.
The Premier League club swooped in at the 11th hour to hijack the Dutchman’s move to Lyon.
Ten Hag brings reasons for optimism at Manchester United beyond Frenkie De Jong
The Red Devils reportedly agreed €17m deal for the 22-year-old with the player set to complete a move to France.
However, United hit a speed bump in their pursuit of Malacia due to complications surrounding his representation.
David Ornstein revealed this week: “Sources close to the Dutch club say the intermediary Malacia has worked with previously has not been authorised to conduct this deal and the matter must be resolved before it is finalised.
“The left-back is believed to have decided against using Ali Dursun for the impending move to Old Trafford, instead operating alongside his father.”
However, the Red Devils appear to have overcome that obstacle and Malacia will become Erik ten Hag’s first signing as manager of the club.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who wrote on Twitter: “Tyrell Malacia to Manchester United, here we go! Agreement reached on personal terms, waiting to sign the contracts soon for €15m plus €2m add-ons to Feyenoord. Malacia will be first signing of ten Hag era.
“OL deal hijacked, as revealed on Tuesday – now confirmed.”

Romano later confirmed that United are setting up the player’s medical tests and once the contracts are signed it will become official.
Meanwhile, Tahith Chong is in talks to leave Manchester United for Feyenoord on a permanent deal, according to 1908.nl.
The Dutch outlet are reporting that Chong ‘can return to Feyenoord’ this summer.
They note that ‘talks with the winger are imminent’. Chong is out of contract in 2023 and he ‘must be released from Manchester United’ to complete his transfer to Feyenoord.
