Man City fixtures: Gunners up first for Guardiola

Premier League title holders Manchester City face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on the opening weekend of the season after the fixtures for the 2018/19 campaign were released.

Pep Guardiola’s side dominated the Premier League last season and will be looking to retain their crown against what surely will be a more competitive fight for the title next time around.

After their opener, City then face Huddersfield Town at home on August 18 before a match with Wolves at Molineux on August 25.

Saturday November 10 marks the first Manchester derby of the season, with United visiting the Etihad, while the return is scheduled for March 16, 2019.

Leicester away is City’s destination on Boxing Day, while there is a trip to Southampton is up three days later. New Year starts with a mouthwatering home date with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The season ends with a home date with Leicester on May 4, before a trip to Brighton on May 12.
