Man City would beat Villa in their double denim – F365 Show
As much as everyone would like to see Aston Villa give Manchester City a game in the Carabao Cup final this weekend, nobody on the Football365 Show holds out much hope of it happening.
City are bidding to win the competition for the fifth time in seven seasons, and having thrashed Villa 6-1 only last month, the odds are firmly in their favour.
“I don’t think anyone sees anything other than a pretty thumping Man City win,” comedian Ivo Graham says on the latest F365 Show, “or even worse a 2-0 win where they don’t even get out of whatever gear they’ve been in this season.
“When you’ve got Jack Grealish in the team, anything could happen, but actually when you’ve got the rest of the team, it couldn’t. It’s going to be maybe like that Man City v Watford final last season. Even then you thought maybe Watford did stand a chance.”
After Sarah Winterburn suggests “the best as a neutral you can hope for is that four City players get sent off, within the first 10 minutes,” Ivo adds: “I’d like to see Benjamin Mendy Instagram Storying from the stands within five minutes just so we get some good content out of it.
“Ideally in his double denim, of course, which is very much the new City fad.”
“You’d still back them to beat Villa, wouldn’t you, in double denim?” adds Sarah. So brace yourselves for a 2-0 Villa win.
For some bizarre reason, the F365 Show still hasn’t been cancelled. So we’ll be back every Thursday with more irreverent nonsense intriguing insight. Subscribe here.
