Man City’s deal for Jorginho ‘not done yet’

Manchester City board member Alberto Galassi says “there are still some things to sort out” before the club complete a deal to sign Jorginho from Napoli.

Pep Guardiola identified the midfielder as one of his priorities for the summer transfer window and reports suggested a fee of £46.5million had been agreed with the Serie A club.

But Galassi says there is work to be done before the 26-year-old becomes a City player.

“The club is interested, the player is also interested and Napoli is not opposed to the move,” he told Sky Sports Italia.

“Having said that, there are still some things to sort out and it’s not done yet.

“It’s not an easy negotiation.”
